When you're new to something, whether it's new to a sport, a job, or in this case a new college, it's nice to have someone that you can ask questions to; someone who can show you the ropes. Here at UCCS, you are likely to find a mentor who will guide you along your journey through college on your own - whether it's one of your professors, a staff member that you enjoy talking with, or other students in your classes. We just try to make it a little easier for you to get connected by pairing you with an upper-division UCCS student who will serve as your guide and as a friend.
The UCCS Peer Mentors are good students who have developed the skills necessary to be academically successful in college, while at the same time, many of them are involved in a variety of social activities (clubs, work, etc) on campus.
