UCCS Financial Aid

UCCS Financial Aid understands paying for college can be an intimidating process. The Office of Financial aid works to provide a variety of financial aid options for UCCS students. Financial Aid Counselors are available for scheduled or walk-in appointments to discuss student financial aid. FAFSA-
Each student needs to submit the FAFSA form by March 1st for fall enrollment. The form is available the first week of January each year. The FAFSA form evaluates family income, need and contribution to your education and indicates how much the student is eligible in student loans, grants, or work study. UCCS Scholarships-  The UCCS scholarship application is available on-line during the first week of January each year. To access the online application visit http://finaidse.uccs.edu/.   Scholarships vary from merit based, to community involvement, financial need, athletic scholarships, automatic scholarships, ethnicity based and many others.

Private Scholarships- Many companies, organizations, and charities offer student scholarships it simply takes some research.

Student Employment

Seans Place

Sean’s Place is the computerized Student Employment Assistance network that connects students with jobs, either on-campus or off-campus work, and work study and non-work study jobs. The UCCS campus provides dozens of on-campus jobs varying from food services to the El Pomar Library to many of the administrative offices. Working on campus is ideal for students, because UCCS employers understand their student employees are “students” first.  The Office of Student Employment also works with local businesses to post area jobs. Western Undergraduate Exchange

What is WUE?

"WUE" stands for Western Undergraduate Exchange. WUE offers eligible undergraduate students from western states the chance to attend UCCS at a discounted rate! WUE students pay 150% of the in-state tuition rate instead of the full out-of-state tuition rate.

How do I get WUE?

When applying to UCCS, prominently mark on your application "WUE". If you are using our online application, note this in the essay section. Applicants selected for WUE participation must meet the University's criteria for assured admission.
