Alex Haley said, "In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future." Who do you consider family? To many of us, the word "family" includes important people from our pasts who "have our backs." They care about our success and us. This Freshman Seminar will explore the meaning of family and the impact that being a college student has on you and your family. It will also help you build an academic family, a "modern family" that becomes the bridge to your future. This course will look at the academic and social responsibilities that come with being a college student and explore how your new "family" can support you in your academic journey. For C3 Learning Community Scholars only.Instructors
