Now Accepting 2009-10 Scholarship Applications

November 1st marked the official opening of the scholarship season! Over 1,500 students at UCCS receive some type of scholarship each year. If you want to be one of them, begin by searching for awards at http://finaidse.uccs.edu/. Applications are available online and most are due on March 1st, 2009. A few highly competitive awards have earlier deadlines.

Spring 2009 Registration

Spring registration begins November 3. If you have a financial stop please meet with a financial aid counselor to resolve the issue. All other stops, including immunization or final transcript stops, must be resolved prior to this conference.

Short term book loans will not generate a financial stop until after the December 12 due date.

Reisher Family Scholarship Fund to Provide Scholarships to Attend UCCS

Current Colorado community college students interested in continuing their education at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs as well as continuing UCCS students will be aided by a new scholarship from the Reisher Family Scholarship Fund of The Denver Foundation.

Beginning in fall 2009, an estimated 30 students will be eligible for awards ranging from $4,000 to $9,000 per academic year for up to three years. Eligibility requirements include Colorado residency, transferring from a community college as a junior with 3.0 or better cumulative GPA, and demonstrated financial need. Current UCCS sophomores who meet grade and need requirements will also be eligible. Applications will be available online at www.uccs.edu beginning Nov. 1, 2008 for the 2009-2010 academic year. Financial Aid Students’ bills are due October 17

Students who are receiving financial aid will have their fall 2008 bill for the semester due October 17. Please do not confuse this with the short term book loan due date of December 12. Feel free to log on to the Student Online Center to check the status of your financial aid and to also view your current bill. Fall Partners Training

Fall Partners Training will be offered on Friday October 17th from 12:30-4:30pm. Student employees and student employee supervisors are invited to attend. Partners training is a four hour comprehensive look into basic job skills including listening, telephone skills, handling difficult situations, valuing diversity, sexual harassment, and many more.
