Our Core Beliefs

The years from 0 to 5 lay a critical foundation for a child’s overall development.

Children need caring relationships and interactions with adults in order to thrive.

Each child is important. Children deserve our respect, love and support.

Each child is unique. We embrace children’s individuality, and we are committed to responding to the specific needs of each and every child.

A rich and balanced program promotes the development of the whole child. A child’s growth is optimized through a variety of experiences across developmental domains: social, emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.

Children learn by doing. They learn best through play and direct experience.

Self-esteem is essential. Children are most likely to succeed when they feel good about themselves, and trust in their own abilities.

Early immersion in a rich language and literacy environment primes a child for later acquisition of reading and writing competence, which are key to school success.

Parents are children’s first teachers, and they are our partners. Working together, parents and teachers optimize a child’s early learning.

Children’s learning is enhanced when adults actively collaborate as members of a professional learning community. Teachers engage in regular professional development and collaborate with one another to design enriching classroom experiences for children. Teachers, administrators, and support staff work together, share their expertise, and continually improve and develop the center’s programs.

It is a privilege and a joy to support children in their learning and development. We celebrate the wonder, intelligence, problem solving and creativity demonstrated every day by our children!

Our children are our priority.

“Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.” -John F. Kennedy
