For employees and students, the OIE enforces three policies at UCCS. The policies are listed below, and further information can be found using the links below.

Sexual Misconduct Policy

Prohibits all forms of sexual misconduct, including sexual assault-non-consensual intercourse, sexual assault-non-consensual sexual contact, sexual exploitation, intimate partner abuse (including domestic and dating violence), gender/sex-based stalking, sexual harassment and any related retaliation.

Conflict of Interest in Cases of Amorous Relationships

Establishes that an amorous relationship between two individuals constitutes a conflict of interest when one of the individuals has direct evaluative authority over the other, and requires that the direct evaluative authority be eliminated.

Discrimination and Harassment Policy

UCCS will not tolerate acts of discrimination or harassment based upon Protected Classes, or related retaliation against or by any employee or student.

The OIE Process and Procedures (“Process and Procedures”) is intended to comply with the related requirements of the following federal laws, their implementing regulations, and related federal agency guidance.
