The UCCS Information Technology Department operates this open lab which is available for use by current UCCS students, faculty, and staff to complete their assignments. The lab is located on the second floor of the El Pomar Center, the main floor of the Kramer Family Library, and is available during all library hours of operation. The computing commons are equipped with Windows 7 Enterprise x64 and Mac OS X 10.6.x work stations with access to black and white laser printers.
Available in the computing commons are:
Rooms 212, 213, 214, 216 and 217 in the El Pomar Center contain 2 PCs per room designated for group study (two or more persons).
Five computers for general public use (non UCCS personnel) are located near the west entrance of the 2nd floor El Pomar Center. These computers have Internet access, but limited software access.
Multimedia Lab in room 238 is equipped with 2 Macs and 6 PCs containing software and hardware (scanner and vhs-dvc recorder) for the purpose of video editing and graphic design.
The Assistive Technology Lab (AT Lab) provides hardware and software for students with a qualifying physical, visual and/or learning/reading disability. Five stations are available with a wide array of technologies. The AT Lab is located in the El Pomar Center, Room 215.
