Dr. Ramaswami Dandapani
Dean, College of Engineering & Applied Science, UCCS
Hello, I welcome you to The University of Colorado Colorado Springs. UCCS was founded in part because of the wishes of Colorado native David Packard. Mr. Packard sought a university to support the employees of his company, Hewlett Packard, and the new technologies his company was just discovering. Then, and today, the university and its College of Engineering and Applied Science is actively connected to the technology industry and the people who work in it. Our mantra in the College of Engineering and Applied Science is to illuminate, investigate and innovate. We seek students who share our goals and are pleased to offer the Master of Engineering - Information Assurance to students in India interested in earning an American university degree and become leaders in their field. The degree offers students the opportunity to learn about critical infrastructure issues facing our world and to think critically, in tandem with world class faculty, about how to solve those issues. The course delivery method is unique with on-line education led by UCCS faculty and in-class instruction in India. This method offers an opportunity that did not exist in previous generations, an American university degree offered to Indians in India. I graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Math, Physics and Chemistry from Nagpur University and a B.E. degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, before moving to the U.S. in 1967 and now I look to give back to my birth country. I once again welcome you to The University of Colorado Colorado Springs and wish you a great career ahead.
“Information Security and Data Privacy are two of the biggest concerns facing the industry. The graduates of this program will be extremely valuable for potential employers.”
