Getting Connected to the EAS Linux Environment (LATS) Using NoMachine NX Client

  1. Download and install the latest version of NX Client for Windows from here.

  2. Configure NX Client to connect to LATS
    1. Run NX Connection Wizard.
    2. Name your session (i.e., LATS), and enter lats1.uccs.edu as the host name. Select the type of your Internet connection and click Next.
    3. Use GNOME as the desktop environment and graphical user interface.
    4. Default settings will create a shortcut on your Desktop.
  3. Connecting to LATS
    1. Double click the shortcut created in last step, and then enter your UCCS password.
    2. You may need to accept the connection encryption code.
    3. CentOS Linux Gnome Desktop will now be displayed.
