The UCCS Engineering and Applied Science Internship Program provides corporations the opportunity to aid students in gaining experience, as well as providing employers talented and creative student employees. The university and employers work together towards creating an employee who not only has knowledge, but also applicable experience. Internships give companies the ability to recruit top-notch, diverse talent, prior to graduation. This is a service provided free for our students and corporate relations.

We have students available for part-time to full-time employment in the following areas:

• Game Design & Development
• Information Assurance
• Mechanical Engineering
• Software Engineering
• Space Operations
• Systems Engineering

Students - Why Intern

• To gain professional experience within your area of interest
• To broaden your horizons in order to develop ideas about a prospective career path and corporate environments
• To participate in research and development, manufacturing, quality, materials, information technologies, or other areas
• To set yourself up for a possible permanent position after graduation

Internship Program Requirements

• Students should have completed a minimum of one year of engineering course work or technical experience.
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.4 or above
• Must have strong academic achievement in science or engineering

To Participate:

Students - register and upload your resume on the Student Interface

Employers - Upload your posting on the Employer Interface

• You may either browse through current resumes or request resumes be sent directly to your organization.
• You may interview the students that meet your qualifications, or request additional resumes.
• With the average UCCS student over the age of 25, many of our students have extensive prior experience, security clearances, and already hold a degree.
• CO-OPS are also available.
