The mission of CSS is to improve how space technology addresses the needs of our nation through research, education and service.  In particular, the Center aims to: 

1) conduct sponsored research to advance space-related knowledge and address key issues of national importance;

2) improve science and technology education for our nation’s future space professionals and decision-makers; and

3) inspire excitement and interest in the wonders of space.
