Dr. Frederick D. Crowley Associate Research Professor at UCCS College of Business and Senior Economist for the Southern Colorado Economic Forum. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Economics and Financial Theory. He's most interested in the economic base and its diversification in a local economy and how its enhancement promotes a stable economy and enriches its citizens.

Ms. Vydia Garcia-Torres Serves as Grant Coordinator at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. Previously worked with Dr. Jim A. Null at UCCS. Served as Secretary of Housing in Puerto Rico between 1989-1992. Worked at the New York State Department of Housing and Community Renewal, the State of New York Mortgage Agency, the NYS Department of State and the Capital District Regional Planning Commission. Received a Master?s degree in Public Policy from the State University of New York at Albany and a Bachelor?s degree from the University of Puerto Rico. Areas of interest are public policy, legislative analysis, budgeting and education reform.
Mr. Terry R. Harris El Paso County Administrator. Prior to that, this Colorado native has served in appointed and elected positions and owned and operated a real estate business. Mr. Harris is a member of various county administration organizations at the state and national levels. He has a BS in Planning from the University of Utah.
Dennis Hisey El Paso County Commissioner, businessman with over 20 years in the transportation industry. Actively involved in local government as a volunteer on several boards and committees previous to becoming an elected official.
Mr. Imad Karaki Project Manager, El Paso County Administrator. Alumni of UCCS. He has also served as Division Leader for Planning and Budgeting at the El Paso County Information Technology Department.
Ms. Mary Lou Makepeace Executive Director, Leadership Pikes Peak. Mayor of the City of Colorado Springs from 1997 to 2003, she is the first female elected to the position. She holds a bachelor?s degree in journalism from the University of North Dakota and a master's degree in public administration from UCCS. She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado, the Center for Creative Leadership and conducts the Leadership Pikes Peak Program and the Stratton Youth Leadership Program for the Cheyenne Heritage Center.
Mr. James Marvin Business experience includes 15 years with National corporations. Thirty-eight years with various small businesses. Philosophically strongly believe that government spending - at any level of the government - is less effective than private spending in expanding the economy.
Dr. James A. Null Professor, Political Science Department , UCCS. He came to UCCS with his wife Norma and his two daughters after earning his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona where he specialized as an Americanist and in Public Administration. He is credited for starting the Graduate School of Public Affairs at UCCS in 1975 and was its dean four times over the next 15 years. He also served as Interim Dean of the two-campus program for one year. Dr. Null also served as Dean of the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences for 18 years and served one year as Associate Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs. In 1997 Jim was elected to the City Council and was reelected for four years in April of 2001. He currently serves as the Chair for the Political Science Department.
Mr. Kent A. Petre President, Norwood Limited, Inc., a real estate development firm in Colorado Springs. Mr. Petre is self-employed and has been in business for 45 years. He lives in Castle Rock with his wife Christen and has 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren.
Dr. Venkateshwar K. Reddy Interim Dean, College of Business and Administration and Graduate School of Business Administration at UCCS. Holds a Ph.D. from Penn State University. Dr. Reddy is largely responsible for the success of the nationally recognized the Distance MBA program at UCCS and was recognized by the Colorado Springs Business Journal as one of the "Forty Achievers Under 40" in the city of Colorado Springs. Received UCCS College of Business Outstanding Teacher Award for 1996-1997 and 2000-01. His publications have appeared in various Finance and Economics Journals.
Dr. Raphael Sassower Professor of Philosophy at UCCS, where he has been since 1986. Published 8 books and close to 100 essays in the area of science technology, art and education. He is also owner of the Warehouse Restaurant Gallery and Brewery and a real estate developer and investor.
Mr. Steve Schuck Board Chairman, The Schuck Corporation. Mr. Schuck is a real estate developer of commercial, residential and industrial projects in Denver, Colorado Springs and Phoenix. Presently, his focus is on changing public policy at the local and national level to empower all parents to choose the education they think is best for their children. Mr. Schuck has a degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Small was elected to serve the last two years of a vacated council seat in 1991 and elected again to an at-large council seat in April 2003. He holds a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering/Math from West Virginia Institute of Technology in Montgomery, West Virginia. He is the retired Director of Turkish Operations at Lockheed Martin Corporation and has 37 years experience contracting with NASA and the Department of Defense. Currently serving as President of the Colorado Springs Lions Club and serving as Chairman of the Programs Committee on the Board of Directors of Easter Seals Southern Colorado.
Mr. Scott E. Smith Chief Operating Officer and Manager of La Plata Investments in Colorado Springs. La Plata is the current developer of the Briargate Master Planned Community. After working with Arthur Andersen & Company, he became the Chief Financial Officer for both Peregrine and the Briargate communities at Vintage Communities. Mr. Smith has presided over both, the Colorado Association of Home Builders and the Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs. He was elected a Life Director of the National Association of Home Builders in 1996. Mr. Smith has served on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Springs Economic Development Corporation and is also a full member of the Urban Land Institute.
