Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods is a registered National Natural Landmark that was donated to the city for use as a public park. Trails lead visitors to over 1,300 acres of unique red sandstone formations.

Highlights: Visitor Center, paved & unpaved bike and hiking trails, horseback riding tours are available through Academy Stables, 719-633-5667.

Directions: Take Austin Bluffs Parkway west (towards the mountains) and at the Nevada Avenue intersection Austin Bluffs Parkways becomes Garden of the Gods Road.  Stay on Garden of the Gods Road for approximately 3 miles when it dead ends at 30th Street. Turn left onto 30th Street. The Visitor & Nature Center will be on the left (a little over a mile) and the entrance to the park will be on the right.
