Welcome! It’s with great excitement and anticipation that we once again host the National Association of Communication Center’s Mini-Conference, welcoming communication/speaking center director’s, staff, and students from across the nation. This year’s event, the 7th, will take place April 18th and 19th, 2008, here on the campus of the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Joining us in hosting the conference will be Beau Bingham, and his excellent student staff at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. As conference date approaches, there are a couple of deadlines I would like to remind you of:

  • The Call deadline for all academic/research/discussion submissions is February 29th, 2008 (see call).
  • While the Antler’s Hilton has reserved an initial block of 40 rooms (codeword: NATCOM) for our conference, they cannot extend that number at the preferred rate of $129@night until reservations are made. So reserve your room early.
  • NOTE: If you would prefer a mountain view (recommended), the rate is $10 extra.
  • Receipts will be provided at the registration table upon arrival on April 18th. Registration includes a reception late Friday afternoon, lunch Saturday, and banquet Saturday evening. Also, conference attendees without private transportation will be provided passes for public bus transportation to and from campus. The metro bus station is conveniently located just two blocks from the Antler’s Hilton, with direct service to the UCCS campus. You may securely fax your registration directly to the UCCS bursar’s office (recommended), or mailed to me directly. Once we receive your registration, you will be contacted by telephone and a confirming email. We look forward to hosting this year’s conference, "The Trails We Blaze: The Communication Center Expedition!" Our conference website will be expanded as we finalize details closer to the conference date.
