Gaynelle Winograd
Assistant Professor Internship Director for Organizational Communication
~ Background Information ~ Dr. Gaynelle Rothermel Winograd is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication. She has taught a wide-range of courses, including interpersonal, leadership, small group, and organizational communication. As part of a UCCS-based research team, she contributed to a global study that measured five dimensions of organizational trust. Currently, her research interests focus on the relationship between behavioral versatility of leaders and organizational culture, trust, and performance management. For the past 18 years, she has pursued a full-time consulting practice. Her applied expertise spans leadership coaching, team building and facilitation, large-group strategic planning, organizational culture and trust, team-based organizational design, and designing and writing training seminars. Notable clients include AT&T, Amoco, Honda, Ocean Energy, S.C.Johnson, Reed Elsevier, Dow Chemical, Hewlett Packard, Harley-Davidson, Kimberly Clark, J.D. Edwards, DuPont Dow Elastomers, Bristol-Myers Squibb, American Airlines, Philips Medical Systems, and Agilent Technologies. Her consulting has taken her to client sites in Russia, Kuwait, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and The Bahamas. Dr. Winograd received her Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her B.S. and M.A. degrees from Northwestern University. She has served as a professor of organizational communication at Penn State University, and as adjunct faculty at UCCS. For five years, she pursued advanced study at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, and at the International Gestalt Study Center on Cape Cod. She enjoys film, piano, gardening, and cooking with her son Michael, and watching her daughter Julie, play hockey. |
