Carmen D. Stavrositu Assistant Professor
~ Background Information ~Dr. Stavrositu joined the Communication Department's faculty in Fall 2007. She teaches courses in media effects, statistical data analysis and emerging communication technologies. Her research pertains to the social and psychological effects of traditional and new media alike. Her work has appeared in Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, CyberPsycholgy & Behavior, Mass Communication and Society, Journal of Electronic Communication, and Blogging, Citizenship, and the Future of Media, among others, and has been funded by the National Science Foundation.
