While a common question of those who are studying geography is, "What are you going to do with a degree in geography?," there are actually many options and potential careers for geography majors.
Geography is a major that teaches students a wide-range of useful skills for the marketplace. Employers value the wide-ranging computer, research, and analytical skills that geography students bring to work as employees. When job-hunting, it's important to stress these skills you've gained during college.
Located in the capital of Denver, DU has undergraduate and graduate programs in geography, including a Ph.D. program of study. Research at the University of Denver ranges across physical, cultural, GIS specialties.

The University of Colorado at Boulder bills itself as "bridging the gap between physical and social geography." The largest geography department in the state offers undergraduate and graduate programs, as high as a Ph.D. in study.
UCCS has both an undergraduate BA in Geography and Environmental Studies and an MA in Applied Geography. One of the newer programs offered here is the undergraduate certificate in GIS. Faculty are involved in physical, cultural, and GIS research.

The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at UCCS offers four academic tracks:
UNC offers an undergraduate program in Geography with emphasis areas in GIS, Liberal Arts, or Secondary Teaching. In addition, they also have a graduate certificate program in geography. The Interdisciplinary Studies in Elementary Teaching program at UNC also has a concentration in geography.
The USAFA offers a major in Geospatial Science, as well as a GEOINT certification program. This institution located in Colorado Springs is also host to the region's annual GIS Day celebration.
Many community colleges, as well as universities, offer certificates and program specific to GIS. ESRI has a searchable database of GIS programs to help you find a program to meet your needs.
