Corinne Harmon is an assistant professor in the Leadership, Research and Foundations Department in the College of Education at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
Dr. Harmon has served in the field of public education for over thirty years as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, executive director, assistant superintendent and superintendent. She has taught graduate level courses in the Leadership and Extended Studies departments at UCCS since 2005. Dr. Harmon has also taught leadership courses at St. Louis University, the University of Missouri at
St. Louis, Webster University and Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. Corinne was the Coordinator of the ASPIRE South region in Illinois from 2006-2008 providing training for over 200 leadership teams in implementing the Response to Intervention (RtI) process. She has also conducted leadership training and program evaluations for local districts and agencies in Colorado, Missouri and Illinois. Dr. Harmon's research interests include the components of effective leadership in facilitating the implementation of RtI and Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) in schools, the underrepresentation of minorities in gifted education, cultural responsiveness, and the application of the principles of quantum physics within a leadership framework for systemic change and reform.
