Summer Reading Clinic with Dr. Barbara Swaby Offered in Summer 2011

Dr. Barbara Swaby will be teaching this summer's Reading Clinic, Introduction to Clinical Experience, CURR 5403, for the summer semester.

This class will introduce teachers to:

  • Informal methods of diagnosing a wide variety of reading needs
  • Evaluation and remediation strategies for remedial readers
  • Strategies for planning and implementing remediation
  • Programs to meet the needs of children with moderate to significant reading difficulties

Teachers will work directly with a remedial reader to increase reading performance by a minimum of 6 months.
