COE Alumnus Highlight Andrew Franko

Andrew (Andy) Franko graduated in 2008 from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs with a MA in Curriculum and Instruction. Upon completing his College of Education's leadership course work and obtaining a principal’s license, he began his administrative career in 2008 as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Falcon High School.

Andrew (Andy) Franko graduated in 2008 from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs with a MA in Curriculum and Instruction. Upon completing his College of Education's leadership course work and obtaining a principal’s license, he began his administrative career in 2008 as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Falcon High School.

In 2010, Andy gained a Certified Athletic Administrator credential from the National Interscholastic Athletic and Activities Association by completing two years of course work and passing the CAA exam. In 2010, he became the Chief Administrative Officer at Banning Lewis Ranch Academy in Colorado Springs. During his tenure, Banning Lewis Ranch Academy has become one of the top performing schools in the Colorado Springs area.

In 2012, BLRA was recognized as a Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award recipient. Andy was honored (2013) by Mosaica Education, Inc. - an operator of over 90 school programs, serving 19,000 students worldwide, as the companies top school leader. Andy continues to work for Mosaica Education at Banning Lewis Ranch Academy.
