The Chancellor's Leadership Class (CLC) is a highly selective undergraduate honors program designed to develop effective leaders. Through coursework, community service, skill building, and mentoring, students have the opportunity to enhance their leadership abilities. This renewable award is offered each year to CLC Scholars who maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and participate in all required elements of the CLC program. CLC Scholars receive a total scholarship of $16,000 ($4,000 per year in the program).
*High school seniors must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA to be eligible.
*College students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and at least two full years left in college to be eligible.
Last year, we had 126 applications which met these criteria and 14 students were selected.
There are two stages to the application process: the written application, and finally an in-person interview with members representing our CLC Community Board of Directors, program alumni, administrators and current students on Monday, March 11th.
The CLC Application Requirements:
2) Two Letters of Recommendation from individuals knowledgeable about your leadership skills (ie: teachers, employers, coaches, community members). Letters from family members or friends will not be accepted. Use the CLC Letter of Recommendation Form to request your letters.
3) High school transcripts (for high school seniors) or college transcripts (for transfer students or current UCCS students)
4) The online application (see above)

ALL application materials must be received by the end of the business day in the CLC office on February 15th, 2013 (5 p.m. Mountain Standard Time). Incomplete applications will not be accepted and no exceptions will be made.
