General Information:

The importance of information technology has become crucial to the business world today. No matter what career is chosen, at some point every student will have to work with and understand the basics of information technology to be successful.

The Information Systems program at UCCS helps students prepare for this technology-centric world by teaching basic computer hardware and software, programming, databases, networking, along with the fundamentals of analysis and design and project management.

Students following the curriculum will also work with various Microsoft Office tools that will give them a head start on a successful career.

Average starting salaries for high-level information technology managers: from $82,750 to $151,500.

Average starting salary offers for those with an MBA, a technical undergraduate degree, and 1 year or less of experience: $54,643;

Average starting salary for a master’s degree in management information systems/business data processing: $43,750.
