1974 - Director of Credentials, John Ormonoski.  Students interested were able to call from counseling center up to Boulder to arrange appointments for on-campus interview at CU-Boulder.

1976 - Director of Counseling, Tony Ricci.  Career exploration consisted of giving interest inventories and interpreting them on a one-on-one basis.  Vicki Smith and John O. developed a career library.  On-campus interviews began to be held on this campus on a small scale.

1979 - Vicki Smith started groups on job search skills.  Career Counseling continued to be a part of the Counseling Center and was done on a limited basis.  Gordon Heid conducted personal and career counseling, especially for veterans.

1980s - Administered and interpreted career inventories and did some follow-up career counseling.  Vicki began visiting industry and business in community.

1985 - Irene Martinez collaborated with counselors to conduct career orientation workshops which were designed to tell students about the career process, the career inventories and job search strategies.  Group interpretations of the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator were developed and scheduled.  Follow-up career counseling was scheduled after person had gone to group interpretation.  Irene conducted job search skills, resume writing with resume expert, a computerized system.  She also held a monthly job search support group.

1987 - Counseling internship developed.  Graduate counseling interns learned to interpret the career inventories and they conducted the group interpretations and the follow-up career counseling.
