What is the mission of the Career Center? 

Our mission is to assist students in gaining knowledge and skills to make educated career decisions by advising them through the process of identifying a major, exploring career interests, and securing post-graduate opportunities. We empower students to take control of their own professional development and job search by providing the following tools and services:

When is Career Services open? 
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Career Center is closed most national holidays and open through most academic breaks.

Where is the Career Center located? 
We are located in Main Hall room 201 on the UCCS main campus.  

Who does the Career Center assist? 
All students and alumni of UCCS are the primary clients of the Career Center. We also assist employers who seek to hire students and alumni for internships and career opportunities. Attendance at career fairs is limited to UCCS students, alumni, faculty and staff.

Can the Career Center help students choose a career? 
Career counseling, career events and fairs, and Clyde's Careers can assist in career decision-making. The first step is to make an appointment with the Career Center.

Can the Career Center help with academic decisions? 
As the choice of major and academic planning is connected to careers, students are invited to talk with a counselor to clarify career plans.

How do students get internships in their academic majors or chosen career fields?

What should I tell employers who contact me seeking to recruit students in my classes? 
Feel free to refer your employer contacts to the Career Center or direct them to our web page for employers.

What services do you provide to alumni of UCCS?
All of our services are available to alumni. Clyde's Careers access is free forever. Also, attendance at our career/internship fairs is always free for alumni.

How can the Career Center help students interview for a job?
Our career counselor can work with students to improve their interviewing skills through mock interviews and by discussing strategies and potential questions.
