Here at the Career Center, we have the tools, the vision and the experience to help students draw their personal academic and career map. If students are undecided on a major, we can help them discover the subjects that truly excite them. If they’re considering a career change, we can help them find the career area that is right for them and the subject areas and jobs that will bring them satisfaction. If they’re ready to focus on a job, we can help them create a powerful resume and cover letter, and we can help them build their interviewing skills so they can clinch the perfect opportunity. Career Counseling is available by appointment in Main Hall 201. Career Counseling is free to all current UCCS students and alumni. Various career assessments may have a fee. Career Counseling appointments are confidential.
Our mission is to assist students in gaining knowledge and skills to make educated career decisions by advising them through the process of identifying a major, exploring career interests, and securing post-graduate opportunities.
The career center is dedicated to providing quality education, information, and event opportunities to increase the likelihood of student and alumni success in the job market. Additionally, we are committed to maintaining and exploring partnerships with potential employers through various programs and outreach opportunities.
We strive to be the active resource for students that are pursuing their major and career aspirations. Our goal is to assist in students in becoming positive and impactful members of society.
