Kettlebells

Ready to elevate your fitness to the next level? Kettlebell training increases body awareness, coordination, muscular and core strength, as well as overall power and explosiveness. Classes are 45 minutes in length, meet twice a week for 4 weeks, and include complementary pre- and post-class fitness assessments to track progress over time. Class participant limit 8. Instructors are certified personal trainers.

Kettlebells schedule

Classes meet in the Group Fitness studio during the following days and times:

Hybrid session 1 with Kettlebells and TRX: Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:15-11:55am

Classes meet monthly with separate registration required. Please contact abiggs@uccs.edu 

TRX®

Incorporate the highly innovative and versatile TRX suspension training system into your current exercise regime to increase functional and core strength. Overcome plateaus and see results! Classes are 45 minutes in length, meet twice a week for 4 weeks, and include complementary pre- and post-class fitness assessments to track progress over time. Class participant limit 8. Instructors are certified personal trainers.

To register for small group training classes, please print and complete the form below. Class sizes are limited to 8 participants so sign up soon! If there are significantly low participation levels, classes may be subject to cancellation.

Are you a UCCS student who enjoys attending Small Group Training classes, and often wonder if you have what it takes to instruct a class yourself? The answer is yes! The Fitness program offers multi-week training programs to prepare students for employment as group fitness instructors, cycle instructors or personal trainers at Campus Recreation. Introduction to Kettlebells
Attend this 45-minute workshop to learn how to choose an appropriate kettlebell weight for your ability and skill level, perform basic kettlebell movements, and do so with appropriate form and postural alignment. Meet in the Group Fitness studio. All ability and skill levels welcome. No experience necessary. RSVP at fitness@uccs.edu

Introduction to TRX®
Attend this 45-minute workshop to learn about the benefits provided by functional training, how to safely and effective use TRX® suspension training, and how to incorporate basic TRX® exercises into your existing exercise routine. Meet in the Group Fitness studio. All ability and skill levels welcome. No experience necessary. RSVP at fitness@uccs.edu

Intro to Synrgy360T
The most versatile equipment piece in the fitness center! Attend this 45-minute workshop to learn about the major muscle groups affected by strength and functional training, how to safely and effectively use the stations and accessories within the Synrgy360T, and how to incorporate basic exercises into your existing exercise routine. Meet on the fitness center floor, right by the Synrgy360T. All ability and skill levels welcome. No experience necessary. RSVP at fitness@uccs.edu
