Wellness programs and services at UCCS and the University of Colorado systems are interdisciplinary in nature, encouraging students and faculty/staff to not just adopt, but maintain healthy lifestyles. Campus Recreation and our collaborative partners on the UCCS campus strive to create and facilitate a wellness-based culture, offering an array of events, programs and services to enhance well-being, and in turn quality of life. Campus Recreation

The Fitness program at Campus Recreation offers a variety of presentations, programs and services to spruce up a staff retreat, staff meeting, or employee training. Provide valuable health and fitness-based information and/or activity-based sessions custom designed to meet the needs of your particular target market, services delivered in as little as 15 minutes, or up to as long as 2 hours. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • How to incorporate exercise into a busy schedule
  • Know your numbers
  • Exercise right at your desk!
  • Stretch right at your desk!
  • Using a stability ball as a chair – recommendations and proper posture
  • Activity-based fitness sessions, e.g. yoga at your desk, resistance band training
  • Combine a passive educational workshop with an active component, e.g. “Cycle and Chat”, “Core and Converse”
  • We’ll bring it to you! Blood pressure screening
  • We’ll bring it to you! Flexibility screening
  • We’ll bring it to you! Core strength testing
  • We’ll bring it to you! Muscular endurance testing
