On behalf of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, we are pleased to present a report on our progress in supporting the mission of the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) during 2011 through Spring 2012. This report constitutes our renewed commitment to these principles and goals.
The UCCS College of Business is a signatory of PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), an international organization whose mission is to “inspire and champion responsible management education, research and thought leadership globally.” The PRME is made up of Six Principles; Purpose, Values, Method, Research, Partnership, and Dialogue, which were inspired by the United Nations Global Compact. As a signatory of the PRME, the College of Business has vowed to integrate sustainability and corporate responsibility into their curriculum. The UCCS Ethics Initiative, under the direction of Dean Venkat Reddy and Dr. Tracy Gonzalez-Padron, has taken the lead in this integration and is responsible for publishing a Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) report every 18-24 months to account for the progress UCCS has made under the framework of the PRME.
Please review the PRME website for more details. A copy of the UCCS PRME Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) report can be downloaded here: www.unprme.org/participants
