Eligible Participants: Teams of two UCCS business undergraduate students - all business majors welcomed.
Registration deadline: Wednesday, February 15
Teams must register together as two-person teams. Both members must be in good standing. Teams will receive the case and detailed instructions about two weeks prior and have preparation time and assistance before the competition. The location will be on the UCCS Campus. By registering, you acknowledge that you will be available Friday, March 9, 2012 from 8am-3pm for the competition and the lunch.
Case Description and Competition Structure
The case will revolve around a business dilemma that has an ethical problem that needs to be resolved.
Each team will be asked to identify the case stakeholders, as well as the financial, legal, and ethical considerations that must be taken into account while finding a solution to the business dilemma at hand. Teams will be asked to assume a particular identity (e.g., company employees and/or consultants) and then offer solutions/recommendations to a specific identified target audience (e.g., company executives and/or a board of directors) on how the business should proceed. Presentations are not to exceed 20 minutes and will be followed by the 10 minutes of Q&A from the judges.
