Jarla Ahlers, MSW, MPA

Jarla Ahlers photoJarla has an extensive background in communication and personal development. She designs interventions and seminars on change management, emotional intelligence, communication skills, conflict management, leadership, consulting and team building. Jarla's coaching processes help people acknowledge their personal leadership strengths and the importance of consciously creating and choosing their future.

Jarla is partner in the Renaissance Consulting Group, as well as founder of SOURCE Seminars & Consulting. Jarla is coauthor of the A Journey to Leadership, a self-directed leadership program. She has facilitated Flawless Consulting seminars with Designed Learning Inc., a Peter Block company, for 17 years. She teaches Webster University graduate courses in human resources and is an individual change facilitator.

A partial list of Jarla's clients include the City of Colorado Springs, Colorado Department of Behavioral Services, Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, Exxon Mobil, Kaiser Permanente, the County of Orange, Energy First Credit Union, Mead Corporation, California Franchise Tax Board, Hewlett Packard, the World Bank, the Internal Revenue Service, Ford Motor Company, Boulder County Health Department, Public Broadcasting Service and a number of public utilities.

Jarla has a BA in Psychology; a Masters Degree in Social Work, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. She has certifications as a Divorce Mediator; an Effectiveness Trainer; a Focus Creativity Coach, and Conflict Lens facilitator. She is trained as an Emotional Intelligence (EQ at Work) coach.
