With over 20 years of experience, Laurie Kennedy is a seasoned, HR and Organizational Development professional and Executive Coach. She received her MBA from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, with an emphasis in Management and Organization in December, 1987. Since then, Laurie has passionately dedicated her career to helping leaders understand the power of performance through effective working relationships that result in more meaningful and joyful working environments.
Laurie's HR and OD experience has been primarily in the healthcare industry where she worked for over 25 years. Recently retired from her role as Vice President, Customer Experience for the South State Hospital Group of Centura Health, Laurie now owns and operates her own Coaching and OD Consulting company. At one point Laurie served as adjunct faculty for the UCCS School of Business. She taught an introductory Human Resources Course for three semesters.
A gifted coach and facilitator, Laurie is an accredited practitioner for Insights Learning and Development, Ltd. She is also an accredited "Professional Certified Coach" (PCC) through the International Coaches Federation. As an Executive coach, Laurie has engaged with clients ranging from corporate executives, to physician leaders to line managers as well as their teams. At another times in her career she was certified as a Master Trainer for Achieve Global and was certified as a mediator where she mediated for a short time in the 4th Judicial District's Small Claims Court as part of a program sponsored through the Better Business Bureau.
Laurie has served in a variety of leadership roles outside of Centura health over the years including Vice President and President for the Colorado Springs Chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). She served for seven years on the Colorado Springs SET Board of Directors and served for many years on the Profile EAP Advisory Board.
