The Lifetime Entrepreneurship Award has become a tradition in the community and a reminder of the legacy we inherit from those who are brave enough to build their own businesses. Through this award, the College of Business underscores the kind of ethical, engaged, entrepreneurial leader we want our business students to become.
In 2012 we will honor Cari Shaffer, founder, owner and president of Add Staff, Inc. Cari is known throughout the region for her community service and for running a superb staffing service. She founded Add Staff in 1984 and has built it into the largest locally owned firm in the industry. In its 27 years in business, Add Staff has sent 40,000 people to temporary and full-time jobs. Cari also is an ardent supporter of community organizations and serves on many local boards including the UCCS Chancellor's Round Table, YMCA Foundation and the American Heart Association Executive Leadership Team.
A part of the proceeds from this year's event supports a new scholarship fund to help College of Business students who possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit complete their degrees and begin to realize their dreams. We're thrilled to be able to help our business students gain the confidence needed to run their own enterprises that create jobs and give back to our community.
We greatly appreciate the support of our Dean's Circle Sponsors!
