Undergraduate Admissions Information

Admissions Criteria

All College of Business applicants are reviewed by a committee consisting of COB faculty/staff and admissions examiners.  What are they looking for?


The College of Business is looking for freshmen who are in the top 40% of their graduating class with at least a 3.0 GPA and ACT/SAT scores that are strong in Math and English. For general freshmen admissions information, please visit the Admissions Information page.

Freshman Admissions Checklist

  • Complete the online application and payment.
  • Request that your SAT and/or ACT test scores be reported to the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.  The scores may be on your official high school transcript (check with your school's registrar) or you can have your test scores sent by the appropriate testing service when you register to take the test. ACT code: 0535. SAT code: 4874.
  • Request that your high school send your offical high school transcripts to UCCS.
  • Non-high school graduates must submit GED scores and State Equivalency Certificate.

Transfer Students

If you are considering transferring to the College of Business, you will be in good company.  The College requires a minimum 2.7 cumulative college GPA with college-level Math and English successfully completed.  For general UCCS admissions information, please visit the Transfer Information page.

Transfer Student Admissions Checklist

  • Complete the online application and payment.
  • Applicants with fewer than 12 semester hours (or 18 quarter hours) of college work completed are required to submit official ACT and/or SAT scores and a complete official high school transcript  for admissions consideration.
  • Please note, your official High School transcript is required to be on file with UCCS, so please request that your official high school transcript be sent  to UCCS if you graduated from high school in 1988 or later.
  • Applicants who are not high school graduates must submit a GED certificate of High School Equivalency (from one of the 50 states), scores earned on the GED test, plus an official transcript of any high school work completed.
  • Request one official transcript be sent to the university from each college or university that you have attended. Transcripts, when provided, must come from each issuing institution directly to the University of Colorado. We suggest you also order a transcript for yourself at the same time. While credits from another institution may appear on the transcript of a second institution, transcripts must be submitted from all institutions where credit has been earned. You must be in good standing and eligible to return to all institutions previously attended.
  • Additional credentials may be required in individual cases.
