CBELS, Certification in Business Education & Leadership for Sport, is offered in response to local and national requests for more frequent business education and leadership training for managers, coordinators and other professionals currently working or pursuing work in the sport industry.
By incorporating the four pillars of the current industry landscape, LEADERSHIP, COMMUNICATION, DECISION-MAKING and VALUE CREATION, the CBELS program strives to help participants develop new skills and new perspectives in Management, Strategy, Service and Operations.
Each participant can expect to exit the CBELS program with immediately usable skills and a new way of thinking, both of which will enhance their ability to perform at a higher level and meet the rising expectations and demands of the industry.
CURRICULUM - CBELS is a 46-contact hour program that includes ten 4-hour learning and activity modules and three 2-hour special topic seminars.
FACULTY & FACILITATORS - CBELS model and theory content is taught by a recognized faculty of UCCS business professors, and translated by a unique, highly qualified group of facilitators who have completed the exclusive Olympic Sport Leadership Certification Program offered by the US Olympic Committee in conjunction with Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management.
