The MBA Foundations Plan of Study offers a path for well-qualified students to enroll in the 4 MBA Foundation Courses prior to admission as an MBA student. This plan does not waive the GMAT indefinitely, but it may allow you to start a semester earlier than otherwise possible.
Admissions Requirements for the MBA Foundations Plan of Study:
There are several cautions outlined on the program flyer that you should consider before pursuing this path. Most importantly, admission to the MBA Foundations Plan does not guarantee admission to the MBA degree program. Applicants must still meet all MBA admission criteria, including an acceptable GMAT or GRE score, to be admitted as degree seeking MBA students.

Application to the MBA Foundations Plan of Study requires the following steps and documents. Using the checklist below will ensure a rapid application process.
One (1) official sealed transcript from every institution of higher learning ever attended, regardless of the number of credit hours taken or degrees earned. Must have graduated with a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
If you are a former UCCS student who has attended classes within the past 4 years, the MBA office should be able to access your UCCS transcripts and any other previously provided transcripts directly from the Office of Admissions & Records.
$25 non-refundable application fee: send check or money order made out to UCCS to address listed on the right.
We cannot issue a student visa for this program. However, non - U.S. citizens living in the U.S. may qualify, and must submit the one or more of the following documents with their application:
No GMAT, GRE or other entrance exams are required for this program. However, students must still meet all MBA admission criteria, including an acceptable GMAT or GRE score, to be admitted as degree seeking MBA students.
Graduate business students are expected to demonstrate a proficient use of the English language, both oral and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is also expected. If a student is deficient in any of these skills, it is their responsibility to mitigate the deficiency before enrolling in the program.
The MBA Foundations Plan of Study program is designed for students who have not yet taken the GMAT or GRE. Students who previously applied to the MBA program and were refused are not eligible to apply.
For full consideration, candidates should apply at least four (4) weeks prior to the start of classes.
