An MBA is a broad degree that prepares students for a variety of career paths from climbing the corporate ladder to launching an entrepreneurial venture to work in non-profit organizations.
The General Business Area of Emphasis is intended for students who desire to customize their own MBA. It allows maximum flexibility by allowing students to choose any 6000-level business elective courses for their area of specialized study. This area works best if students have a general goal in mind when choosing courses.
Students pursuing a General Business area of emphasis take five (5) business elective courses in addition to the Core courses.
