Dear Friends and Colleagues,
In the midst of a very busy fall semester, we are welcoming two new tenure-track faculty to the College of Business: Kathleen A. Tomlin and Spencer Harris. We are excited as their accomplishments and research will contribute to our mission to provide innovative and current business education from faculty who are internationally recognized for their teaching and research excellence
Kathleen A. Tomlin will be joining the college as Assistant Professor of Management. Dr. Tomlin received her PhD in Psychology from Princeton University and completed her postdoctoral work at Columbia Business School. Her primary research interest is how interpersonal perceptions (such as bias) affect the outcomes of disagreement, conflict, and negotiation. She has also studied the use of assertiveness in interpersonal conflict, the factors that hinder effective intergroup feedback, and how individuals make decisions for their future selves.
Spencer Harris, ABD, will be joining us in Sport Management. Mr. Harris is a PhD candidate in Sport Policy and Politics from the Loughborough University, England (expected fall 2013). His teaching and research interests include the marketing of sport, public policy for sport, governance of sport organizations and organizational behavior in professional and amateur sport contexts.
Please join me in welcoming our new faculty to their first semester at UCCS. We look forward to their contributions to our students, college and community.
Venkat Reddy, PhD
