Vincent Stanley, co-author of The Responsible Company will talk about how Patagonia - step by step and misstep - has made its work progressively more responsible.
He will describe some simple steps businesses can take to thrive in an uncertain economy while reducing their social and environmental harm. He argues the need for companies to:
· Reduce their environmental footprint (and its skyrocketing cost),
· Make legitimate products that last,
· Reclaim deep knowledge of their business and its supply chain to make the most of opportunities, and
· Earn trust (and business) by treating their workers, customers & communities fairly and with respect.
