Alumni Profile: Nancy Noriega, College of Business, Class of 1991
Nancy's fondest memory at UCCS happened in the summer of 1990. "I participated in a special program which focused on encouraging minority students to pursue graduate studies." (More) Alumni Advancement Lecture Series to feature President Emeritus John Buechner presenting on The 11th Commandment: Thou Shall Not 'Wing' It
Our keynote speaker will be President Emeritus of the University of Colorado John Buechner. Dr. Buechner will present on The 11th Commandment: Thou Shall Not 'Wing' It. He will cover a practical approach, with suggestions, for persuading and influencing others, e.g, work committees, public bodies, and groups. He will provide examples of "what not to do" as well as suggestions for helping to effectively develop these all-important skills. This event also includes a complimentary breakfast buffet for alumni attendees, a campus update from UCCS Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak, and an optional campus tour following the lecture (both shuttle and walking options will be available). The criteria for the Alumni and Friends Award are as follows:
Please send a letter of nomination to the Office of University Events and Alumni Relations before February 28. This letter should reflect the reasons why your candidate should be considered for this award. The Alumni and Friends Advisory Board will review the nomination letters and select the recipient of this award. The recipient will be recognized for this award at the Campus Awards Ceremony on May 3 in Berger Hall. |
