A member of the UCCS professional staff since Dec. 1999, Tom Hutton serves as the director of the Office of University Relations.

Prior to joining UCCS, Hutton served as director, interim director and associate director of the Office of University Relations for the University of Kansas (1990-1999). He worked as a newspaper reporter, editor and manager in Kansas, Iowa and California (1983-1990).

He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Colorado at Denver and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas. He is a native of Kansas City, KS.
