Karin Larkin serves as the university’s arts professional. To that end, she is passionate about making the arts accessible to everyone. In her capacity as arts professional, Karin acts as a liaison and ambassador for the arts at UCCS to the public.
Larkin received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Santa Cruz in Art History in 1993, her Masters of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder in Museum Studies in 1998 and her PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2006 in Anthropology. Karin has been working in museums and arts institutions for nearly 20 years and most recently was curator at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center in Pueblo. Here at UCCS, Karin also acts as curator of Anthropology and teaches classes in Museum Studies, Art History and Anthropology.
She has lived in Colorado Springs for with her husband, Michael since 2002. They have two children named Alex and Sophia.
