Jaime McMullen Garcia is Director of Development for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. In her role she oversees the development department and establishes a structure for effective fundraising for each of UCCS' colleges as well as campus fundraising priorities such as support for scholarships and financial aid. She oversees the Karen Possehl Women’s Endowment, the Flying Solo single parent scholarship, and numerous other scholarship programs. Jaime has been with UCCS for 20 years and is a ‘storyteller’ for UCCS as she loves to share the past, present, and future of UCCS. On campus she has worked as a student in the Chancellor’s Office, as coach of the UCCS dance team, as director of the Spirit Teams, as a tutor in the Writing Center, and as a recruiter in Student Recruitment before she joined the CU Foundation. She was with the CU Foundation for 9 years and now through development transitions is back at home with UCCS in University Development.
Jaime currently serves on the board of directors for 88.7 KCME-FM and is past president of the Colorado Springs Regionally Accredited Colleges and Universities (ACCEL). She and her husband, Leo, have two children, Jeremy and Nathaniel. Jaime received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
