I graduated from Sierra Grande High School in 2005 with top honors and I am currently majoring in Spanish/Political Science at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. As part of my college experience I am Co-Chair of el Circulo de Español, my duties are to keep a strong relationship with the UCCS student community through fun and entertaining activities. As part of my community involvement I am currently involved with MANA, a National Latina Organization, which helps the underrepresented, mostly women achieve greater success, and have interned for the past two years. Also, I am a trainer for the Child Passenger Safety Program which instructs the community, mostly families about the importance of child restraint seats. I also volunteered with the Care Fair as an interpreter for people who do not speak English and are in need of medical assistance.
