The next meeting of the ITC is Friday, 9 February at 9 am in EPC 304C.

Here are the minutes of the meeting that occurred on Friday, 26 January.

1) The ITC gave me some final comments for the Faculty and Staff IT survey.
I have now posted the survey and announced it to campus. And I'm turning my
attention now to a student survey. Both surveys can become focus group
instruments. More on that idea at the next meeting.

2) Most of the meeting was dedicated to Dave Makowski, Assistant VP at UMS.
He spoke about the UMS 3 year planning agenda and Security issues for CU.
The planning agenda covered everything from the future of SIS, PeopleSoft,
employee training, IT maintenance, etc. We agree that we should bring Dave
back to our group in the fall. I've asked Dave to send me the e-versions of
the documents he distributed. When I receive these, I will post them to the
ITC website.

3) Jerry and I handed out a DRAFT of a Core Services document. You may
recall that the Core/Extended Services concept was discussed at length last
fall and will take a prominent role in our strategic plan. We discussed this
document briefly but we will allocate ample time at the next meeting. If you have questions or comments, feel
free to submit something for email discussion.
