The last (woo hoo!) meeting of the ITC for the AY 00-01 will be Friday, 11
May, at 9 am in EPC 304C

Minutes from 13 April
1) Jere updated the ITC about the Student Technology Fee Referendum. The
students will vote on 24, 25, and 26 of April. On the ballot is a referendum
asking for a significant fee increase (from $10 per head to $3 per credit
hour increasing to $5 per CH by 03-04). For more information, please visit
the website: www.uccs.edu/~stf. We've included past budgets, reports, the
policy another tidbits. If you have suggestions for getting a POSITIVE word
out to students, please let Jere know. I am working behind the scenes to
help supportive students pass out flyers, etc.

2) Most of our discussion was directed to the strategic plan for IT. Jere
expressed a desire to broaden our attention to general IT plans rather than
just IT services. As a result, we had a useful discussion that addressed
instructional technology, managerial services, assessment, research
technology, infrastructure, and technology supporting outreach activities.

Jere will take our discussion and make revisions to our strategic plan in
time for our last meeting. The ITC will meet one more time in May before
adjourning for the summer. After which, Jere and Jerry W will draft the
strategic plan in time for a June delivery. We will make sure all ITC
members receive a copy.

The last meeting will be 11 May at 9 am in EPC 304C.
