The next meeting of the ITC is Friday, 26 January, at 9 am in EPC 304 C.

Due to a low turnout, our meeting today focused on a plan for the next
several meetings and a productive discussion on the proposed Needs Analysis Survey.

1) Taking stock of what we've done and where we're headed. We remain focused on the goal of developing a strategic plan for IT on our campus. In the fall, we identified a list of key issues and have massaged that list into 7 categories. We also started a process by which to deal with software issues as they arise. Currently a needs analysis survey is under construction and will be deployed in early February.

While we are collecting data, the ITC will embark on a discussion of the core services, the extended service plan and a possible liason system that could be recommended in the strategic plan. Jerry and I will develop a framework for our discussions. We feel that these ideas will form a backbone to our plan.

2) We spent most of the time talking about the survey that I've put
together. Some very good suggestions were put forward and I'll make some corrections. We definitely grappled with Part II but I think I have an idea of what was suggested and I'll work on it soon. I'll put forward the revised survey before our next meeting.
