Resolution Unanimously Passed on February 20, 2004

 

WHEREAS:   it is the duty of the Student Senate to represent and advocate for the student body, and;

WHEREAS:   the environment is something that concerns us all, and;

WHEREAS:   the Student Senate would like to encourage the University to conserve natural and financial resources;

 

THEREFORE, BE IT Resolved by the SGA Student Senate, THAT,

 

Section 1:        The Student Senate encourages all Faculty and Staff to print all documents, handouts, and class material double-sided.

 

Section 2:        The Student Senate encourages all Faculty to accept work printed double-sided when possible.

 

Section 3:        The Student Senate encourages the IT Department to set all computers to automatically print double-sided.

 

Section 4:        The Student Senate encourages all clubs, organizations, groups, offices, departments to print all documents double-sided when possible.

 

Section 5:        This resolution will be sent to the Faculty Assembly; Staff Council; Professional Exempt Staff Association; Chancellor Shockley-Zalabak; Students for Environmental Awareness and Sustainability; Jerry Wilson, Director, Information Technology.
