Recommended change in university sexual harassment policy, presented to
Rep. Assembly on 19 March 1999: Whereas the majority of sexual harassment complaints arise from behavior where the alleged harasser is unaware of the offending nature of the behavior and Whereas an offending party often readily agrees to cease engaging in the offending behavior and Whereas such a solution is frequently acceptable to all parties, the CU Colorado Springs P and B Committee moves to recommend that the following wording be included under Roman number II, Section A: "In the event that the campus sexual harassment officer is able to mediate a resolution of the complaint that is accepted by all parties the complaint will be considered closed." |
