The Committee on Women is assembling priorities for the academic year and
the top three that have emerged include sponsoring twice-yearly events for
faculty/instructors to meet each other, funding mini-grants, and supporting
visiting speakers on issues of relevance to women.  I am currently
determining membership of the Committee. 

Our first event is this Sunday, October 12th, 11-1, a welcoming brunch at
the Chancellor's home.  Please let me know if you are able to attend by end
of day, Wednesday 10/8.  Please let me know if anyone needs an copy of the
e-mail invitation or did not receive one.
