Report of the Committee on Women
September 2000


In September there will be several presentations that the Committee on
Women is helping to sponsor. On September 11, the Elizabeth Gee Memorial
Lectures will feature presentations by Dr. Lyn Taylor, UCD School of
Education, and Dr. Susan Clark, UCB Political Science Department
(supported also by the systemwide Faculty Councils Committee on Women and
the UCCS Womens Studies Program). On September 21, Professor Ann Lane,
Director of Womens Studies and Professor of History at University of
Virginia will give lecture on her research, to be followed by a workshop
for faculty and instructors (sponsored also by the Womens Studies
Program). In addition, we will have our first meeting of the academic to
plan our agenda and activities for the coming semesters.
